JEEA Editorial Appointments

EEA announces the appointment of 4 new JEEA editors starting from January 1, 2024.

First, matching the best practices in leading journals, we are excited to let you know that Maia Güell (CUNEF Universidad & University of Edinburgh) will be the journal’s first Data Editor. Scientific rigor is the pillar of any journal’s credibility. Maia’s outstanding scholarship and strong track-record of rigorous research are the best assets she brings to this critical task.

We are deeply grateful to the Search Committee - Andrea Weber (Chair), Nezih Guner, Miklos Koren, and Joan Llull - whose major experience with replication policies and best practices delivered this wonderful outcome for JEEA.

Next, we are equally excited to let you know that  Matthias Doepke (London School of Economics and Northwestern University)Thierry Mayer (Sciences Po, CEPII & CEPR) & Christopher Roth (University of Cologne) will join the great editorial team brilliantly led by Romain Wacziarg - a team that virtually bridges Budapest to Los Angeles. Matthias, Thierry, and Chris bring their talents, their breadth of research interests, and their very high standards to JEEA.

We are deeply grateful to the Search Committee - Thierry Magnac (Chair), Kfir Eliaz, Luisa Fuster, and Adam Szeidl - for the smooth process that under their leadership delivered this fantastic outcome.

It is a good time to express our deepest gratitude to Nicola Pavoni and Giovanni Peri, who will step down from JEEA's editorial board at the end of this year. They greatly contributed to the growth of the journal with their great tastes in doing research and high standards.
