EEA Officer Election 2022

Welcome to the EEA 2022 Officer elections. You are asked to vote for EEA Vice-President and EEA Council.

Voting will take place from Monday, September 27 to Sunday, October 24.

Only EEA members with active memberships can vote. Each member can submit one ballot sheet.

Miklós Koren

Miklós Koren is professor of economics at Central European University, senior research fellow at KRTK, and research fellow of CEPR. He has served on the Council of the EEA and its Standing Committee for Research since 2017.

His research focuses on macroeconomic development, firm dynamics, and international trade. He publishes regularly in leading journals, and has participated in numerous European research and coordination projects, including "Cooperation for European Research in Economics."

As the inaugural Data Editor of the Review of Economic Studies, his mission is to help economists maximize their scientific impact by adopting reproducible research practices. He also serves on the editorial board of the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of International Economics, and Covid Economics. During his term as department chair at CEU, he has overseen large institutional transitions.

Miklós's work has been recognized and supported by the Peter Kenen Fellowhsip, the Nicholas Káldor Prize, and a European Research Council Starting Grant. He received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2005. He also holds an M.A. from Central European University and a B.A. from Corvinus University Budapest. Before joining CEU, he worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and at Princeton University.
