JEEA
The Journal of the European Economic Association (JEEA) has a worldwide reputation for publishing articles of the highest scientific quality in theoretical and empirical economics for a global audience.
JEEA has an Impact Factor (2 year) of 3.9.
The current editorial team, managed by Romain Wacziarg, is committed to a careful and efficient editorial process. JEEA editors are chosen by search committees, called together by the EEA President. The EEA President sets up the search committees and takes care to ensure that the search committee is balanced in terms of gender, geography and field. The search committees in turn carefully consider gender, geography and field when when shortlisting candidates for the editorial positions. The shortlist is not public but is carefully reviewed by the EEA President, before invitations are sent out. The EEA Council formally appoint the JEEA editors.
The JEEA 2023 report is available here.
JEEA is published by Oxford University Press. Six issues are published annually.
In 2023, JEEA celebrated its 20 years. To recognize the vision and leadership of those who founded JEEA in 2003, to express our deepest gratitude to the Managing Editors, all the Editors, all the Associate Editors, all the editorial staff members, and all the referees for their commitment and dedication to the journal, and to thank all the scholars who published their wonderful research and ideas in JEEA, we prepared two little but for us very meaningful gifts:
- a brief movie, below, that recognizes the past, depicts the present, and imagines the future of the journal;
- a Special Issue here, which offers a representative sample of JEEA’s commitment to publish new ideas with scientific rigor.
